I'm an artist.
My work has been featured in

I do a lot of stuff ... all of the things, really.
A multi-hyphenate, I think they call it.

Let's see...
I'm a director, producer, actor, writer, singer, choreographer, designer, professor… etc. etc.

Mmm, that's too much.

I do do all of that, but … what do I do best and most often?

I'm a director. an actor. a teaching artist.

Let's start there.

Director

I like movies. a lot.
I usually see two or three films a week.

I like theatre. a lot.
I usually see two or three shows a month.
(what? theatre costs more.)

I like movies and theatre so much,
I do them for a living.

Check out some of my work - with pics and videos!

I've trained with some of the most generous and talented artists around,
such as Tony winner Bartlett Sher, Oscar winner Gray Frederickson,
and Olivier winners Robert Icke and Lyndsey Turner.

I'm a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab
in New York, and a founding member of the inaugural
Directors Lab Mediterranean in Beirut, Lebanon.

I'm the Artistic Director of 19th Century Hound, a production company specializing in immersive and
devised theatre and film experiences. I love to upend audience expectations: mixing in technology and media for interactive elements,
or casting actor-musicians and circus artists to add
unexpected whimsy and pathos.

Here's my directing resumé and bio,
(if you'd like to learn a bit more.)

Actor
I was an actor first. It's where my love for it all started.

Musicals. Shakespeare. Film - I love it all, and I work
to balance my directing and teaching with continued
performing as often as I get the chance.

Some of my favorite credits include:
Sondheim's Birthday Celebration at Carnegie Hall
1984 - Winston Smith
Frost / Nixon - Swifty Lazar / Mike Wallace
She Loves Me - Georg Nowack
Taming Of The Shrew - Hortensio

Here's my headshot and resumé,
(if you're the kind of person who wants to see those.)

Teaching Artist

and I'm excited to see where they will lead us next!
